Default Stock pipes with matting removed

I wanted to know what it would sound like with the baffles intact but without the sound deadening fiberglass matting inside. I couldn’t find any info so I did it myself. The results are pretty good considering it’s FREE if you have the right tools. Still quiet at idle but sounds better. Much louder when you get on it. If you don’t want to spend the cash on aftermarket pipes but want a little more sound then this is an option. Here’s a video of the results.

I had a 2009 RKC I did that to. Ymmv but I couldn't take it for very long. My low end took a **** first off and on long trips my ear drums ruptured. An exaggeration but after a full day of riding it was absolutely obnoxious in my opinion. I ended up welding caps in the ends and used an 1 1/2" hole saw to tame it down a little. Got my low end torque back too

I didn’t remove the baffle at the end. No loss of torque. Not obnoxious at all.

You could add Thunder Torque Inserts.

I agree. This was just an experiment since I’m ordering aftermarket pipes soon anyway. I kind of like the sound though, sounds more old school to me.
