Whatever floats your boat. Make your own vent kit. Doubt the vent kit from Harley will be available to the public for awhile.

Try the relieved inner cover. You can do this with a coping saw (it was the best tool I found for removing the barrier wall) and a drimel or a burr bit. I have a one in use that so far has stopped transfer. He is getting ready to take a longer trip and will report back soon. He was transferring 6-8 oz. every 1000 mi. He's gone 650 mi. with no transfer.

This won't cost you anything but time if you already have the tools.

My 2019 RGS started transferring at 4400 miles, I followed the HD process and had the 'slinger' fitted, 600 miles later I was back as nothing showing on the transmission dipstick.

When I was in the dealer discussing my transfer issue there was a HD tech there and he told me HD had tried the fat clutch rod, machining the casing and also fitting a seal, all well reported 'fixes' here and admitted that although they all slowed the transfer none actually stopped the transfer completely (under their monitored testing)

He said the reason is, the primary is creating a vacuum and 'sucks' the oil across rather than it being pushed from the transmission and said the best solution is the new vent kit which stops a vacuum being created.

I said OK fit and lets see, luckily he was carrying one with him and left it with the dealer to fit.

I do have a fat clutch rod waiting to fit but prepared to give HD one last chance.

I have spoke to the shop manager at my dealer and he said if the vent don't work they will fit the fat clutch rod and be done with it!

Time will tell.......watch this space!

It is on the right side of the transmission. There is a faux cover there that is chrome or black and this is the actual cover under it that attaches to the transmission and holds the clutch actuator. You have to loosen, not remove, the exhaust to access it. Below is the stock cover.

This is what they should look like when finished.

This is where you remove metal.

Well if the tech was talking about "The Fix" not completely stopping transfer he was full of sh%+! I have not had one yet that didn't stop transfer completely. I had two that the seal size and machining allowed the seal to come loose, but I dealt with those. As for the fat pushrod, there have been no reports of it not working and on this forum I'm pretty sure there would be if that were the case. The biggest problems with "The Fix" are that it is a little expensive and it isn't an easy installation. The fat pushrod is easy enough even the mechanically inept can pull it off. I have a bit of a problem believing the tech when he says HD tried them. They may have looked at them, if they had tried them they would have found that they work.

I know, but guess he was giving me the HD spiel, however as he had a vent kit in his car I was willing to give it one last try, before going third-party cure....

I think you'll be happy after the vent kit is installed!
