Had the clutch recall on my 18 street glide, like everybody else with 17 and 18's. When i took mine in, in june there wasnt a problem, took it for the recall. Today out for a ride and stopped at a buddies house, with a decline driveway. So backed it in and left it in gear. When i was leaving i pulled the clutch in and front brake and hit the starter, nothing. I always start in neutral, but forgot about the decline and leaving it in gear. Hadnt tried that since the cure. lol Has anybody else experienced the no start in gear, after the recall was done? The bike shifts great, like it did before and it would start in gear.
Sounds like you have the problem with the clutch safety switch. Take it into the dealer and have the switch pack replaced. I had mine replaced under warranty last year.

I hadnt seen MJs post on strych9's thread. He has answered my question. 5 clutch switches.
'18 FLHTK. left side switch pack replaced under warranty. What the tech at the dealership said was something like this, At first it will fail to start in gear, and later the gear indicator, and even the cruise will start to malfunction because of the faulty switch. YMMV.
