Default Fuel Moto customer service is #1

I purchased a power vision tuner from Fuel Moto last year along with a pair of their Jackpot Street Outlaw Mufflers. Install was a snap and the tuner came preloaded with a custom tune from FM’s vast library of Dyno tested calibrations.

During a recent trip in our unusually hot weather, I noticed that the cooling fans didn’t seem to be working properly. The other wet head bikes in our group had fans running quite often but mine were not. A trip to the dealer when we returned uncovered a possible problem with the ECM calibration, so I reached out to FM (well after hours) to ask for guidance and got an updated tune within 90 minutes! I loaded it up and had everything tested & verified that evening!

The service I’ve always gotten from Jamie and his team has always been top notch and this just a classic example of why they’ll be my first stop for any future performance mods.

Thanks again Jamie!

cool, but just curious here..the tune you got from them a year ago was evidently a problem for the cooling system, but it didn't have the opportunity to manifest itself until this year because the ambient temps were the only thing that 'changed' ? great report on their follow up customer service tho!

Correct. I never noticed that the cooling fans were not kicking on at all until we had the unusually hot weather and I’d heard the other wet head bikes fans running. I live in the snow belt so our riding season is limited and the 100 degree temps are not the norm here either. Other than the fan issue, the bike has run extremely well, has gotten great fuel economy, and has been a pleasure to ride. The original tune from the dealer wasn’t impressive at all and it’s my opinion that their dyno tuning tech wasn’t as experienced as others I’ve worked with. The FM tune I just loaded runs perfectly and I would not hesitate to do business with them again. The service has been exemplary!

First place I go also!!
Prices fair, support can't be beat!!
Ordered Pipes, Woods 555 cams, power vision and target tune for my stock Low Rider. Had a problem with the check engine Light . Eric picked out the problem in about 3 min. O2 sensor had the heater option selected. The tune was preloaded into the power vision. Tune was damn near perfect from the first startup. Normal service from Fuel Moto. Perfect!!!

I agree and can't say enough good about Fuel Moto. They simply rock.

Having a wet head M8 myself, I'd be interested in the tweak that was made. Maybe Jamie or someone on the crew can respond? Might save some emails from others.

Help me out here. You are excited that Fuel Moto took care of your issue quickly? That's certainly glass half full. You could just as easily have been pissed that they didn't enable the fans in the map to begin with. I think Fuel Moto has grown so much and so fast they can't keep up with what they are doing. My personal experience is that their customer support isn't nearly as good as it was a couple of years ago. Call backs that never happen. Emails that are not answered. Tech support that can't get off the phone with you fast enough. I am not seeing the level of personal service they used to be famous for. But maybe it's just me.

well I know they have a great following and I have no personal experience so no business criticizing..but my question was, in a much softer tone, directed at "the tuner came preloaded with a custom tune from FM’s vast library of Dyno tested calibrations." and wondering why something like this was missed in all that..it's not an insignificant issue, but like I said, wasn't trying to be critical, just inquisitive

You are making a huge assumption jumping from an adjustment to the fan's not being enable. Not to mention no matter what the reason, they are human just like us. The important thing is they fixed the issue ASAP.

As for call backs that never happen, I have been a customer of theirs for over a decade and have never experienced anything of the sort. At most it takes them a day to get back which is way better than the others in the technical industry.

I too have been a customer of theirs for a long time. I can only speak for myself. But their attention to detail has gone off the rails for me. Like I said. I never got a return call or a response to an email with my latest tuning adventure. They sent me a map for my bike that was too generic. It was developed for another model. The result was my speedometer was way off. I finally got the proper PPK values from another member on this forum. They know what bike you are ordering stuff for. So they should know if your speedometer is going to be off or if your fans aren't going to run. How about a little warning. Or how about correcting the map for the bike it is going in. Haven't had that issue in the past. And a lot of customers are not going to be knowledgeable enough to fix it themselves.

My guess. And it's just a guess. Is the map was too generic. Or not specific enough for that model. Ran into something similar myself recently. I knew enough to know how to fix it. But had to go somewhere else to get the values I needed to solve the problem.
