There claim is BS. There have been many different engines that run well above 4000 RPM with valve bridges in them. They also stay in alignment without issue. We've raced the Duramax diesel engines for years and run 5500 RPM easy and have gone as high as 6500 RPM with them, no problems. Others have claimed they run there's to 7000 RPM but we haven't run them there. One of the ones we work currently holds the record at Bonneville as well, for it class at 341 MPH. The bridge removal is simpler than what is claimed by HD. IMHO this isn't the first time HD has tried to patent things they did not invent.
No doubt but Ive also seen bridges fall off on 6.0L phords when I was a 6.0 / 6.4 diesel tech. Maybe the lash adjuster located at the bridge (its not a lifter if its located up there) is what they're so excited about? It adds weight the valve spring has to control so maybe not a great idea.

They know very well how to do overhead cams. They put double overhead cams in the V-Rod, people were not pleased and said it wasn't a Harley. They put single overhead cams in the Street 500/750/XG750, and people are not pleased and say it isn't a Harley.
The new liquid-cooled motor in the 975 and 1250cc displacements (Pan America and Streetfighter) will almost certainly have overhead cams. I'm pretty sure many on this board will say they're not Harleys.
