I bet he is excited to finally get his bike home, I thought after seeing my bike on the lift two weeks ago was a sign of things to come I guess not as the dealer is now waiting on bushings for the rocker arm shafts. I honestly didn’t think it would be February and my bike would still be there. I’m feeling depressed.

So, I drove around with a big hole in my dash for a month before they sent out a "used" radio for my new bike. I have put up with the MOCO's warranty crap for over 40 years but have finally had all I can stand. No more HD's for me.
if you've been riding hd for over 40 years, then surely you've heard that if they replace your radio, they use a refurbished unit and not a brand new unit?

I've had similar dealings with that dealership.

FOR ANY WARRANTY WORK I RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING:

1. Call and get the General Manager's email, and the Service Manager's email.
2. Send an email to the GM before you take your bike in and CC the Service Manager.
3. Do not accept any verbal communications about what they are going to do/not do.

CREATE A PAPER TRAIL and don't accept verbal correspondence.
You will have evidence if necessary for legal reference and evidence for the mothership if they are cutting corners.

1st thing they will do is a 1 hour diagnosis. Be there if there's a specific problem that they won't be able to duplicate.
It took a month for them to finish my bike and they provided me with a loaner once the mothership ok'd the work...

I believe that the MOCO bought out their long term parts & motorcycle distributor in Canada a year or two ago. My guess is that all parts are now being ordered by franchised Canadian dealers and being shipped from the MOCO to dealers just like they are in the U.S. And yes, the MOCO is having all kinds of problems now because of lagging sales and revenue. Fecal matter seems to always flow downhill in business and the military.

It’s now February and been 2 weeks since I saw my bike on the lift only to be told that they were still waiting for parts, I went to the dealership today to speak with the owner and let him know of my displeasure, we spoke for about 15 min with him being very apologetic trying to ease my frustrations. I went to the shop to talk to service and was told the parts came in last Friday and my bike was booked for this Friday and as long as the weather cooperates and the Teck can take it for a test ride I’ll pick it up next Monday.

You could say that considering it went to the shop in October, I don’t blame the dealership for the long wait 100% H-D’s fault and I don’t think they really care either. They are a global company and their not acting like one. I’m just glad I’ll have my bike back home where I can sit and look at it and dream of places we’re going to go together.
