Hey all my name is Jimbo and i'm riding a 2019 Road glide special (My Baby) This is my first post, so please point out anything I can improve. I am also new to the HD family after years on that "other" bike., and loving every second of it!!!
Both of the Stage Upgrades listed below were installed 1/20/20
Issue 1: a few months back had "Hidden am/fm" antenna installed and radio reception seemed to decline a little bit. Recently had Stage 2 audio upgrade and now reception seems to be quite a bit worse. Is that expected or would I have a great improvement by taking back to dealership?
Issue 2 : Stage 1 exhaust Khrome Werks slip on's, Screaming eagle round extreme flow air filter and a screaming eagle pro street tuner. Sounds great, feels great and looks awesome. Yesterday I noticed with either the clutch engaged or in neutral, I got on the throttle really fast on/off, I could hear a little click noise as well as pause in throttle like bogging out for just a split second. Right at last moment I could hear what sounds like air sucking in and then throttle will increase in RPM and drop back to idle. Sorry hard to explain. This all happens very fast since its basically revving up motor while not in motion.. Click comes first (sounds like from front right of bike), then bogging like a delay, then air being sucked in. Also keep in mind, this only happens if I give it throttle as fast as I can. Most would say, "well don't do that".
Thanks in advance for any advice, suggestions, etc...
Safe travels,
Jimbo

Hidden antenna's are never as good as the whip antenna. There is a happy compromise with stubby, chrome automotive aftermarket antenna's that work fairly well.
As far as that click, not sure what that could be, that hesitation on revving could be just a tuning adjustment.
Welcome and congrats! Maybe an AC intake leak but we can just guess, you need to get that checked by dealership especially if its a consistent repeatable issue. Good luck and let us know the outcome
I highly doubt they are gonna take the Boom stuff back after its been installed. I had a 2012 Street Glide with an Aquautics AV head unit Biketronics amp and DD audio speakers, and quite honestly I like the sound of my 2019 with the boom amp and stock street glide special speakers better than the previous set up.
Correct, there is no taking back at this point. Overall I'm pretty happy with the audio, a definite improvement from the stock setup. I am also loving the heated grips, glad I didn't wait too long to have them installed. I can see that HD wants all the money! I was shocked to find that lighted instruments was an upgrade and not a standard option. I get it with everything else, but not safety stuff. That reminds me, I bought 2 really nice Shoei helmets and added Sena wireless headset only to find out they don't they don't work with HD. Is there a way around this yet or do I not get full HD functions without buying the Whim and HD headset?
thanks again for everyone's feedback!

Just get your credit card out, brother. It's going to be a long, expensive ride...
I kind of thought that with antenna, it's too bad I never got mine back from when the hidden was installed. Of course LOL
Thanks for info!
When you take your bike back to the dealer for your issue #2, ask them if they still have your stock (or another stock) antenna available because you forgot to get yours. Not always, but sometimes they have a box of take-offs kicking around.
