Don't forget, when you're talking engine temps the M8 temp sensor is on the rear cylinder close to the squish/combustion area. Compared to Twin Cam temps, the M8 reads higher but is fine.
I stand corrected, you just need to buy the grills, theres some cutting I can do in here to allow more air through also, I wish this whole thing had a screen insert.
S&S 124, cam plate and pump, 550 cam, ward manifold, SE 64mm throttle, FM 5.5 injectors, level A heads S&S cuffs, rocker studs, and head bolts, AIM SDR and heavy springs.

part numbers I listed are for the screens ($15 each) which is all you need, not the assembly. If you want 100% unrestricted flow, you'll need to remove the "glove box" and trim the lower portion with the nuts. I'm just going to remove the box (just a couple screws holding it in).

Ill try that. I cut that hole out larger but left enough for the cover to still snap in, so I could fit the grills. I just went for a ride to see if it had any effect on engine temps with the cover off and it did not. Still got up to about 320 degrees with 350 degree head temps, thats at a 55 degree ambient temps. My legs were cooler though 😁

Finished my build on Wednesday, and rode it home from friends house where we built it. I have 120 miles on motor, and hope to get another 100 today, that should have it at close to 300 when it hits the dyno to be tuned.
My build:
S&S granit cylinders, bored to give 130 inches
Mahle flat top pistons, set at 0 deck height.
Heads by HD Street Performance
Adjustable rocker arms
CR-482 cam
HPI 62mm throttle body
HPI port matched intake
6.1 injectors
S &S lifter cuffs
H-D 8 lobe oil pump, the 2020 version
Recluse torque drive clutch
Fullsac head pipe and 2.25 baffles.
yeah. Honestly there are zero performance issues, I was thinking Ill probably just put the grills in and take the pockets out of the glove boxes so some air can move through, use quality oil and not worry about it. Im gonna take them off in the hot summer months though.

Interesting build using the CR-482 cam, please post your dyno results when done.
Not just interesting but looks like a well thought out combo.
