I know this must have been discussed in the past and if you could provide me links to those discussions it would be helpful. My question is would a carb compliant cat equipped exhaust have an impact on the factory warranty?
There are no HD bikes with a factory warranty left on them . 2006 was the end of the carbs. Buying a header with a Cat in would be expensive. Th cat cost a fair amount of cash.

he's not referring to a carburetor. He's referring to carb compliant which is this..

Do not get CARB compliant mixed up with HD warranty. CARB compliant only means it meets the necessary emissions requirements to be used on the highways in the USA. HD has really gone off the deep end IMHO with denying warranty for any part that is not made and sold by the HD factory. So if you use a CARB legal exhaust and expect that the factory HD warranty will continue to honor the powertrain warranty, your going to be in for a rude awaking when you try to use it.

This is the type of info I'm looking for. So therefore one would be just as well off to purchase the version with no cat or whatever you wanted to have because it is all judged the same by the moco. Warranty on power train voided.
