17 RG in desperate need of new suspension.
A friend of mine who passed had the same bike as me and he had Ohlins with reservoir cans mounted to the bags. He had Progressive up front but I'm considering Ohlins for both, front and back. Anyone have a hook up and a guess to what I'd be spending? Keep in mind that if they have "good" "better" and "best" I'll go with "best"
TIA.
Bought my Ohlins for my 18 Road Glide from Smarty. He personally will assist you in what you need and personally will help you install and set them up. Highly recommend. Sending his contact info via PM, so check your box.

Thank you, Jeff.
Carol (Smarty) will talk your ear off, super knowledgeable and he got my business. Went with the rear mounted canisters and purchased the front too. Now I gotta go home and take off my forks and ship them. About $2500 for complete suspension upgrade which isn't as bad as I thought it would be. 24 hour turn around on the front end so if I take them off on Sunday night, ship Monday morning I will have them back by Wednesday. Thanks again for the hookup.
Ohlins knows suspension..I raced one of these (as well as plenty of others) waaaayy back in the days...Ohlins were stock on Huskys...damn front brake cable got caught in the forks through the whoops, pitched me over the bars, slammed me to the turf, landed in hospital with separated shoulder and 1" stainless steel screw holding it together, was one of the few times I didn't wear my shoulder pads, go figure...but I digress..the rear suspension was great for twin shock bikes
It all depends on what level of Ohlins you get is what you pay for them. I got mine from Howard at Motorcycle Metal. I have the base coil overs I think HD-159 and they work great and didn’t break the bank.
