So i have 4" rineharts (i swapped out the baffles) on my bike, stage 1 air cleaner and the pro street tuner. i was going with either the VH header or if i can get the rinehart one (unless someone has a better suggestion) but the dealer is telling me a need a different tuner to do the fuel map, is this true?
Just an opinion, I would just run the stock head pipe. Maybe a "better" tuner would be better, but as a Stage 1, it should run just fine. Just one guys opinion. Good luck, CSM-H

1) SEPST tuner only tunes to Screamin Eagle parts configurations, and 2) a catless header would lie outside EPA regulations (the SEPST tuner stays within EPA standards).
Side note in case you are unaware. Using a different tuner than the SEPST will void your factory warranty instantly. There are a lot of threads about this and I don't want to turn your thread into one of those threads - just want you to know.

I have used V&H power duels, and Rush power duels header pipes they both preformed about the same. I liked the V&H for the fit and finish so I would go with the V&H myself, don't know nothing about the pro street tuner, I have always used power commander

so will changing the header pipe unless he uses screaming eagle headers.
It sounds like a ploy from the stealership to void out what you've got going on. I'd be interested to hear what they have to say... If the dealership tells you that you need a better tuner then why sell you the SEPST in the first place?

The hd tuner will work on hd parts, meaning with catalytic converter in place. To my knowledge, there are no maps available for aftermarket parts. Additionally the hd tuner does not have the capability to tune outside epa parameters. That means it is limited in the ve tables, afr, and timing. The aftermarket tuners go way beyond the epa, which are needed to tune a bike without a cat. Technically you could tune a bike with a hd tuner and an aftermarket pipe on, but it wouldnt run that good, and you voided the warranty anyway so what is the point.
