You taking the ride out there Stevie Ray?
Interested to see your journey details.
Taking the Ferry across, going down and around Chicago or north and through the UP?
As said, making the trip from Metro Detroit next year with a buddy....interested in your plan and your results!
Travel safe.
I'm gonna put the bike in back of my pickup truck and head west on I-94 to Chicago. Then North to Wisconsin and Fuel Moto. Third time going there this way. I have a great ramp for loading the bike, no worries.
Your thoughts on how this cam would perform in a 107-114 Stage 3 kit. It will be run with a d&d billet cat and power vision, I wondered if a little bump in compression would help or hurt?
Any feedback on this cam installed in a 114 M8 Softail? I'd be interested to hear feedback for recommended 2 into 1 exhaust systems for an FXLRS for instance.
My WM8-22XE cam is due to arrive tomorrow! I will be installing it tomorrow night/Saturday morning. I will try and get some before and after videos. My LRS has the Rinehart 2 into 2 exhaust. I love the sound and improvement over stock with this exhaust and the Power Vision.
How did the install go, what's your initial reaction?
My 22X-E is being installed early next week.
This was my first time installing a cam. It could have gone smoother if I had read the directions a bit more carefully lol. First start up I ended up having a loose pushrod and had to tear it all down again and figure out the ticking noise I had. Just make sure you do the bleed down on the lifters when you install the pushrods.
my first test ride I ended up having a pushrod tube keeper fall off that wasnt seated all the way so I developed an oil leak at the pushrod tube. But the power improvement of this cam! Hold on! Ive never ridden a bike that has had a cam done to it before so the before ride and after ride was a huge difference. I had to do a couple of auto tune sessions to smooth everything out but it is definitely worth the headache I went through and the time.
I plan on getting the target tune kit at some point to really dial in the tune. Some day Ill get it on a dyno, but for now the power vision auto tune works very well for me.

Great feedback...any plans to do a Dyno run? I would be very interested to see real world numbers with your exact set up. Are you running the stock HD ventilator intake? Any other mods?
I dont have any immediate plans to dyno the bike. It seems to be running great at the moment. I have around 300 miles on it since Friday when I did the install. Someday down the road I would like to dyno it to see where I stand numbers wise and how my torque curve looks. For now Im just going to run a few auto tune sessions and enjoy it.
I do have the stock 114 air cleaner on it right now. The only other performance mods I have are the Rinehart 2 into 2 exhaust and power vision. I would like to get the wide band O2 kit for it and probably upgraded air cleaner down the road. Eventually go with a big bore kit but thats in a few years.
i did keep the stock oil pump and lifters in there for now. Being hydraulic roller lifters with adjustable pushrods I didnt see a real advantage to upgrading with my setup and mileage. I think I had around 2200-2300 miles when I did the cam.

TY in advance
That would be a very strong combo, the 22-XE would love the bump in compression and the D&D 2/1 system.
