So my Auxiliary lights are not working. Code is B2106 L4 output open
I took headlight cowl off checked wires, connections even replaced the aux light toggle switch. Looked everywhere check fuses can't find the problem. I think it may be a broken wire or bad ground but I can't find it. I hate working on electrical problems. I may have to take it to the dealer if I don't figure it out. Already spent most the day working on it. The good news is everything else works as it should and the bike runs great.
If you remove the Aux lights (unplug) can you reset the code? If so that will help you identify where the open circuit is. Did this just occur or after you were working on bike?
The lights always worked fine just went for a ride the other night and noticed they were not working. I'll unplug the lights and reset the code.
Thanks for the advice!
Fixed! Man do I feel stupid. So I try a new bulb and she lights up! Put another new bulb in the other side and they both light up! So I must of had two bad bulbs at the same time go figure. I'll keep an eye on things to make sure something isn't causing the bulbs to go out but feel good about it cause those bulbs have over 38k miles and I use them most of the time. Feels good to have a simple fix but man did I ever over think this one. There is a TON of wiring on these new bikes!!
