Not wanting to derail the OP but a question has come up: Does anyone know whether it is electrically possible (ie given the design) for one plug wire to be open, ie dead and not delivering fire to the plug, the other plug on that same cylinder working fine? If so, would it be noticeable on the ride, if one of the two plugs on one cylinder was not firing? Would there be a code generated?

Thanks
System knows and has a code for misfires. Little primitives compared to a modern OBII car however.
On, that, with a CAT, it will go into limp mode and limit RPM to barely 2000 with little fuel to prevent destroying the CAT.
They call it limp mode. It actually won't even go up a hill. Found that out not long ago on my students car in Richmond, VA.
I had given him and my other student BlueDriver readers. He called me and said he had a misfire code. Would not go up the grade to get out of his underground garage. Took a set of plugs and ran up there. Turned out it was a coilpack on #2 plug.
So today I unplugged and plugged back in everything, reset the code and rode over 100 miles. No issues and the code didnt come back. Thanks all for the help 🇺🇸
