I had a similar situation with my car. I use a USB data holder for listening to music in the car. I was always getting errors that it was using too much energy, so I needed to unplug it. After beginning the car, the error disappeared. I have used some hard drive recovery services, and I found out that the USB data holder was corrupted, and after it was cleared from viruses, the error disappeared.
I had the same error and got rid of it by removing the cloth USB cords I had running across the head unit. I think maybe because they're not insulated well causing interference with the unit. I also removed the carplay jumper plug I installed and now just use the stock USB port and bluetooth. No more problems.
next problem recently, narrowed it down to the boom gts usb connector. radio went from disconnecting to error message to full blown crazy blinking.
CRC contact cleaner blasted it. bikes 4 years old. seems to have worked and makes a lot of sense to try that first, contacts get a lot of cycling from condensation?
