Around 6800 miles. I had the stage 2 cam put in, back in April of this year. Other than the cam, it has Screaming eagle tuner, SE hi flow intake, and Tab slip-ons. I am not pissed about it. I know things happen/fail. Hell i put in a new phone system or two, and had them fail about a hour after installing them. Just want it fixed right.
My 2018 stock RGU at 40k miles doesn't smoke at all during start-up. Cold or otherwise. I'm a perfectionist, I surely would have known about it if it was. The OP says he's going thru a qt of oil every 1k miles. There's the indicator right there of something wrong. Once you get that oil consumption issue nailed down and fixed, oil consumption will be the normal 5k per half quart, and there will never be any visual smoke from the pipes.
Well i got my bike back on Friday, from the Dealership i took it to, for the smoking. Dealer said they couldn't get it to smoke, at all. Told me i wasn't letting it warm up long enough, 2-3 minutes, and that's way the smoking. According to them, it needed to idle to warm up to the point were you could not hardly touch the rear head, 5-10 minutes, then it was ready to ride. I pointed out that, that isn't what the owners manual states. Page 106, starting the engine, allow the motor to run slowly for 15-30 seconds to warm up and oil reach all surfaces. They danced around that, and said any HD mechanic will tell you, it needs the warm up procedure they outlined. I can tell you that i don't hammer on it when we leave the house, going down through main street, after it has warmed up for 2-3 minutes, while we load up our stuff in the saddle bags, put on helmets, eye wear and set the music. Feeling like they were trying to blow me off.

yup, trying to feed you an all you can eat buffet of horse $h!t..time to file a complaint with customer service and have them open a ticket with the dealership..once they know they are on the mothership's radar they will most likely 'try harder'..or take it elsewhere
What a load of dealer BS. I live in a generally cool climate, and I only warm up for maybe 30 seconds before taking off. And no smoke on startup either.

Are you sure it isn't sumping? My friends sumped and you could smell burning oil when you rode behind him.
