Do M8's generally run quiet with aftermarket cams?

2019 RG CVO 117....PURCHASED NEW ...AMSOIL CONVERSION AT 1000 MILES .3 HOLE SERVICE EVERY 1K. MOTOR SOUNDED LIKE A BAG OF LOOSE BOLTS,OIL LIGHT ON REPEATEDLY. VANCE/HINES POWER DUALS GUTTED FACTORY MUFFS .TTS TUNER. RECENTLY HAD A LOCAL SHOP(#1 QUALITY) UPGRADE OIL PUMP TO S&S ,BILLET CAM PLATE ..BEARING ETC,WOODS 22XE CAM. DYNO TUNED BY HARRYS MACHINE .....(perfect tune)...MOTOR NOW HAS ZERO NOISE AT IDLE AND AT CRUISE SPEED .I CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THE TRANSMISSION WHINE WHILE RIDING. ABSOLUTELY RUNS 110% .I CRIED TO CORPORATE AND ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTY,THEY SAID BLOW IT UP AND WE WILL REBUILD IT.(crazy?)....OF COURSE WITH H.D GARBAGE PARTS. So bite the bullet and install s&s oil pump if it aint too late.

always wondered how something perfect could exceed 100%, that and WTF Extra Virgin means for Olive Oil..or JUMBO shrimp..just the kind of stuff I think of when the electricity is out

when i completed my cam job on friday i started it up and for 30 seconds it was loud then quieted down and now its quieter than stock. my old twin cam was LOUD. love the m8s compared to the old TC

My 20 LRS had that loud sewing machine sound out of the show room and I found it irritating. After a SE torque cam stage 2, it's almost gone.

Try installing some Rocker Lockers on your Rocker Arm Shafts... I installed 255 cams in my 2013 Ultra 103 & it didn't matter how I adjusted the pushrods still had too much chatter, installed the Rocker Lockers and it solved the noise problem....
