Default Road Glide Handlebars.

There has been some interest in Bars lately, so here is my contribution on the subject. My 17 & 18 had the HD Chizeled Bars installed before I ever rode the stock bars. The Chizeled were 14" and I liked them a lot, they were narrow , kept me behind the fairing and had a forward aggressive riding position. I rode those bars no less than 72,000 miles between the two bikes. When I got my 2020 Glide, I left the stock bars on and felt like I was riding a wheel barrow. Yesterday, I installed Factory 47 Legacy 12" bars, they are 4" taller and 4.5 " wider than stock. Out of the box the bars were perfect, so was the install. The only modifications to the bike besides the bars was two zip ties that are removed to free up some length of the Brake and clutch lines. No other Modifications at all were needed, all wires plug in without modification to the factory locations.

Looks good. Presume you still had to remove the pins in the switch housings and the riser tho, yes?

No, Factory 47 bars are setup to keep the pins. The slots on the bars for the pin locations are elongated quite a bit more that stock so folks have more room for adjustments as well.

how tall are you? do they block your view of the turn signals? or any other negatives? thanks..been considering ditching the OEMs being at 6'3", but don't want hands exposed completely outside the fairing nor do I want them above my heart, for blood flow..injuries/surgeries and numbness can be an issue..very difficult and expensive to buy bars without benefit of test riding..can't afford not to hit a home run right off the bat.(pun intended) thanks

I agree with you the stock RG bars suck. The stock bars on my 2012 were great, but for some reason they went with the buckhorn style with the long pull back and like you stated they were like the handles on a wheel barrow. I went with the 12" KST Spearhead bars and they are great. I like the fact that you can adjust them both forward and back and move the grips in and out to your liking. Here's mine:

I have the 10” KST pathfinder.
They are narrower than the spearhead.
Handguards would be a must for any size above 10”.
