Default Stock exhaust maybe hard to find

This new administration is making comments about making America like California. That may be a problem with exhaust and other items that are not allowed. Stock exhaust will be hard to find, Just saying.

Sounds like it may be financially sound for me to hold off on selling my stock exhaust for when the demand goes up. 🤔 (kidding of course)

I maintain a basic law of principle in my garages: take-off parts stay with me until the vehicle they belong to is sold to someone else. You just never know when You'll need them.

I was at the dealer and a friend that works there said they were having a hard time finding a stock head pipe for a 2009 Softail. I Showed up the next day with a full exhaust from my 2009 Nigh Train that had been in the garage for 11 years. I have stuff stacked up from about every bike I have owned stored in the shop or shed. If I take it off it goes in the box from the new part, labeled and put on the shelf.

I do the same thing. One by-product of that is I rest assured knowing that if someone were to steal any of my name brand boxes, they will be pleasantly surprised to only find OEM parts.

Just a note: I have a complete chrome stock exhaust for a 2018 Ultra Limited Low. I replaced it with the full SE exhaust when doing upgrades.

California has no enforced EPA regs for motorcycles, no do we have state inspections. But, some cities are enforcing loud exhaust. So, maybe you’ll need to upgrade obnoxious short shots.
