Hi guys, Im new to the Harley world and just got a 2021 FatBob 114 less than a month ago
last Sunday I was riding and realized a really loud noise when in low rpm and inputting throttle, I made this video I hope is enough for you all to see.
the bike has only 700 miles on it, it also makes a really bad noise when turns off, also, this happens only when the engine is hot.
the dealer took the bike Tuesday and still not much info other than yeah we checked the noise, sounds bad.
my question is, what are my legal rights? They have to give me a new bike or new engine?
sucks that a brand new bike already have to be taken apart.

I'll go ahead and make the assumption the powertrain is all stock since you don't mention otherwise...you need to be patient at this point and wait for the diagnosis..they already agreed they hear an unusual noise and the process allows them to perform appropriate troubleshooting measures, so 'Do Nothing' is your only option thus far

yes everything is stock, only did visual changes on it. The problem happens in any gear or in neutral while parked. So I guess I have to just wait and look to my empty garage, this is literally giving me depression

I get it, brand new and in shop for engine noise..anyone would be upset and disappointed as well but out of your control so try and keep perspective..didn't listen to the audio..but doesn't meant there is a catastrophic failure ahead..could be simple like stuck primary adjuster or something..keep us posted and hoping for the best outcome to get you back on the road asap
Your legal rights are that they have to repair it under warranty. I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Not sure where you got the notion that they would have to give you a new bike, that's a strange notion.

Maybe it was because this one guy years ago had like three engine failures in a row and got a new bike out of it? I forget - he set the bar anyway.
OP just two more engine failures to go! Glass is half full....
I'm in a somewhat similar situation involving repairs + no bike = depression.
Familiarize yourself with the lemon laws of your area, but don't expect to get reimbursed in any way for not being able to ride. If I'd known my bike was going to spend the first 1.5 months of riding season in the shop, I would've probably bought a cheap bike to putt around on.

yeah I didnt know and thats my first brand new bike buy and I thought it was like cars, they have a limit time that they have to fix it? the dealer call me to update and they said they couldnt find out what is the noise and schedule for a technician to check it Wednesday, over a week just to book for someone else look at it? Wtf!
Its a brand new bike!!!!
should have priority or at least give me another bike while they fix it, not to mention that I saved money for 3 years and paid cash on that thing.
