Dealer says unless they actually see it at the show, they can’t do much and to start the bike and get home, I need to clear the codes and all I can do is take a photo as proof. Anyone here experienced these intermittent codes? If you did what was the fix, I am thinking perhaps wiring issue or component that is being impacted when the bike heats to operating temperature, or could it be the fuel at the Chevron gas station or some sort if RF energy “zapping” the bike EMC…not sure but just trying to make some sense on the new ’21 M8.
By the way, bike is bone stock.
So what was the fixed...I removed the piece of $hit seat that I got from Amazon:
I reinstalled the factory OEM seat and the problem never came back. What I think happened is due to the very low nature profile of this copycat CVO solo seat, it is not allowing enough room from the bottom of the seat to the ECM connectors and all my other Custom Dynamic run/brake/turn connectors and consequently, it would put enough pressure on the ECM circuit board connectors which results in these DTC error codes. Then you add the summer heat and humidity, I think in my case it creates this perfect storm environment who knows but the good news its never been back
Please let us all know if you have changed your seat and are experiencing this same issue, if not, double check you ECM connector, make sure it is clean and dry
By the way, I replaced my OEM seat with a Saddlemen Step Up SDC seat, and yes I made sure it has lots of room hope this helps and I can close this case.

Before OBD-II was introduced, many vehicles let car owners disconnect the battery cable or the computers power source to clear the OBD codes.
Disconnecting the battery or power source means no voltage, which would clear the computers temporary memory, and the check engine light would turn off too.
However, the latest OBD system stores the DTC codes in a memory that doesnt erase, even if the battery or computers power source is disconnected.
Every fault code stays in the memory until you or your mechanic clear them with a scan tool.
