good thing it ain't a Ned Beatty cam bearing tool or the bearings would squeal like a pig using it
I have both Gary Beatty tools, one for TC88 and the one for the TC96. The TC96 will fit the M8 as the bearings are the same size. However, you will want to measure the depth of the bearing to ensure you don’t seat it too far.

The Twin Cam bearing tool will probably only work for pulling the bearing, not pushing it. When I say probably, it will have to be a puller for the 2007 or later Twin Cams. The early models will be too small. You might be able to rent or borrow a blind bearing puller of the correct size from an auto parts store that would work. You can install it by using the old cam and tapping it in with a hammer, but I have never done this so I can't give you any advice on that. I don't know what you are paying for this used tool, but here's one on ebay for less than $80 US.
I have the Gary Betty bearing tool, works fine on M8 just like it does on the 07 up twin cam.
The Gary Betty tool has the ridge on it to set the depth of the bearings so you are good to go if you get this tool.
If you need a copy of the instructions on how to use it I think I have it in the box in my shop.just send me a message,on here and I can take a pic of them and send them back to you

I am not familiar with this tool, but it sounds interesting. Must not use the plate for pushing the new bearing.

I'm not sure you meant it to sound this way, but it sounds like you're considering using the same bearing you pull out. Don't do that. Get a new Torrington bearing. The SE bearing will work just fine. If you were going to reuse the stock bearing, why would you pull it in the first place? Just leave it in the engine.
