She's going ok Goobs, I put an Andrews M460 cam in it a month odd ago, stone the crows, more torque than you can shake a stick at.

Man, are they really that bad? Got pics? I liked your hand pad idea, and having built 100s of engines (at least) that was my favorite method.

Cometic gasket, and I am one of those very controversial CopperCoat guys (I'm old).

I just don't want you to end up with an unstreetable compression issue. Been there, done that.

no i didnt take any pics. the 1st head came out fine the second i could not get smooth after 4 hours so decided to just get them resurfaced. Had a dot pattern that i could see and feel from the old gasket.
