Carplay disabled ?

I'm thinking the WHIM is causing the connection issues, those using the Hack/plug seem not to have an issue and connect immediately , I have been a proponent for the WHIM but if I have to choose CarPlay wins every-time

me too. i have the whim, most of the time i have no connection issue. every now and again, it decides it wants to act up and i'll have to unplug the phone and plug it back in again. but for the most part, i'm good.

I am a big fan of the WHIM, 1st time I have any issues, not sure if its the WHIM, GTS, or Phone, In my Bluetooth file on the phone the GTS no longer shows as Boom GTS, it now appears as---- CinemoBTComponant, Never seen that before. I posted in audio forum as I want to reset Radio to factory but I don't want to loose the radio flash, not sure if resetting radio clears or deletes flash. BTW CarPlay works in my car no Issues.

It's amazing how we get used to something then can't live without it if it goes kaput. I can remember when I thought the whole stereo/phone/GPS/bluetooth on a motorcycle was an absolute crock of ****, now I couldn't be without it.

Same issue. I have a 2021 Road Glide Special with the WHIM installed. CarPlay worked perfectly when using an iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 15 and plugged into the bikes USB port. Then my Company upgrade my phone to an iPhone 13 Pro. I transferred all my data from the old phone to the new phone during setup. I have iOS 15.4.1 on the new phone. Now I cant get CarPlay to work no matter what I do with the new phone. Ive tried every troubleshooting guide I can find and every step multiple times, but nothing works. I hate to have to do it, but I may have to back up my phone, reset to factory settings, set up fresh and then put data on from back up. Has anyone tried installing the application iMyFone Fixppo on their computer, and then plugging the phone into their computer and running the program to fix the issue? I hate to pay the cheapest subscription cost at $39.95 if it doesnt work. A guide I found list this application as the ultimate fix if nothing else works and is supposed to protect your data on the phone.

2020 was the last year that you could use CarPlay without a headset connected with whim enabled. I believe you needed a flash to disable the mic for it to work. Starting in 2021, Harley closed the workaround so if you have whim enabled on a gts radio, you have to have the wireless headset connected for it to work. Those jumpers wont work on these either. If you notice, everyone saying it works fine for them have 2020 or 2019 whim enabled bikes.
