Updated my iPhone 13 pro max to newest release 15.2, today i tried everything to get CarPlay to work on my GTS and nothing, restarted phone, radio, bike , unpaired phone, headset 20s, paired everything back and nothing. cable is working as the phone charges immediately, Changed iPhone cable for good measure and nothing,
Radio display in settings confirms Mic is present and I can use mic for all functions, WHIM is connected and working, Any suggestions, Help, appreciate. Can anyone confirm upgrading phone somehow disables CarPlay ?
I also would like to remove the WHIM and get the connector/Hack for CarPlay , Having Whim Installed what needs to be done to go this route.
I OS 15.2 CarPlay still works perfectly fine on my '19 Ultra. I have never had any issues running CarPlay on the bike with the headset connected to the WHIM or not.

Strange for sure, CarPlay needs to see a mic to work. Thanks for confirming 15.2 is not the Issue
Apparently this is an issue with the iPhone 13, after further research I discovered I am not the only one with this Issue, Apple is aware from all the calls it received , On YouTube it seems the fix is resetting your phones settings, I'll try this when I get home.
When I updated to 15 or 15.1, I started having a connection issues, not with just CarPlay, with pretty much anything wireless. Did a little research which suggested to "Reset Network Settings" under Settings/General/Reset on the phone. All was good after that. I had to do it on the iPad as well when I updated it too. I did not have any issue after updating to 15.2 though, as a matter of fact, it seems to fix a couple other "bugs", and CarPlay now seems to connected more easily and stays connected (NO WHIM installed). I am using the wireless CarPlay module (which actually uses wifi to communicate between the phone and the module) and it wasn't unusual to see it "re-connecting" or struggling to connect... rode about 7 hours this weekend and never noticed it doing that.
I just picked up a 13 mini, and 15.2 works fine for me. Odd that some are having issues.
They made a change that I'm not a fan of - the music app defaults to your library instead of the "now playing" screen. Now you need to fawk around pushing buttons every time you start the bike (or car/truck) up.

I believe there was a setting that allowed it in the beginning. It was one of the first bikes with the GTS my dealer setup with a WHIM. They probably just enabled all the options they could to make it work.
