Yup! HD had this idea of installing the HD Connect Module in Touring bikes model year 2020. Was advertised and promoted to work similar to GM's "On-Star". With the purchase of a bike you would get a month or 2 (can't remember exactly) free and then pay for an annual subscription. It wasn't received with great enthusiasm and I think they had issues with it. By the time I took delivery of my 2020 in August, HD had already abandoned it.
I now also have this completely useless module (not small) taking up space behind the fairing. Glad to hear there is a way to disable and remove it so it's not causing issues or throwing codes.
That's because Harley was to cheap to contract with a company that could get it to operate as they advertised. So they just gave up. Bunch of pussies.
Maybe. There was a lot of negative feed back to HD from many they do not like the thing tracking their every move either.
My understanding was first they disabled them . The started no longer installing them at some point in 2020's.
Why in this day and age would that thing need to be that big? That joker is huge....
Good thing HD doesn't design cell phones. Think of all the brand loyalists walking around with their head attached to an orange and black box the size of a refrigerator. Can you hear me now?
