I removed the factory breather, camshaft, first generation oil pump and factory headpipe. Those of you who did this yourself what did you do with your parts? In the trash? Post it for sale?

my stuff has always just ended up on 'The Pile' and once it gets to the ceiling I trash it or get next to nothing from the salvage shop, rinse and repeat now for nearly 2 decades..nobody really ever wants to 'upgrade to stock' parts

Yup, goes in a take-off bin until I am tired of looking at it then it gets recycled or something. Sometimes someone I know needs a part, but can't keep everything forever.

I keep it. If I trade, the bike goes back to stock. Dealership isn't giving one cent more for the add on's. If I sell privately, depends if I put them back to stock or not. Also have parts to sell aor help out a friend or two if needed.

Trash. Typically no one wants the take offs and they usually end up just sitting around and taking up space.
I tend to think of it this way…..if I don’t want them why would someone else?

Ha! I’ve still got Electra Glide bumpers from 1999, all kinds of ignition parts from carburetor model Harley’s, head pipes, just threw away several stock slip on’s. Every time I open those totes I think, someone could probably use this stuff….

I donated some them to my Indy shop. The rest I keep and hang them up in my garage.

I keep them until the bike they belong to is gone. Speaking of, I need to clean out the garage. I generally throw them on Craigslist with the statement, "Any reasonable offer accepted." Whatever is left over after a couple of weeks goes to recycling.

It depends.....or used to. Some ppl like to blacken their chrome bikes or vice versa. I've sold chrome stock pegs and floorboards and handlebars before.
