Default Blue Locktite on adjustable pushrod nuts.

I’ve heard some say a small amount of locktite on adjustable pushrod nuts, and the opposite no,no,no! On it.
my theory is once set, the not can be locktited with no issues. Is there a particular reason, short of another cam change or whatnot, not to use it?

be interesting to hear the experts response for this particular application..Loctite Blue Medium strength is instructed by HD to use on many things to keep from loosening but need to be removed and re-installed occasionally ..... like the air cleaner bolt for example

edit: guess the question is what do the installation instructions or service manuals say..sure if it was considered important it would be recommended or even listed as required

Hell no. Tighten the jam nut and be done with it.

I say don't use it. From my own experience I did once and the next time I opened it up found little hardened pieces lying around. Imagine one little piece like that plugging an oil passage in a lifter or somewhere else. Also in order for loctite to work the surfaces have to be very clean and dry. They're pretty hard to loosen after they've been tightened properly.

The Fuel Moto kit I installed called for Red Loctite, which is what I always use. A touch of propane heat is needed to release the Loctite should you need to remove them in the future.

I'm not sure blue loctite is effective at the temperatures inside the motor. The tech sheet for 242 shows the upper limit to be 300F.
