Has anyone had or heard of recent problems with the throttle by wire system? I lost throttle control and went into limp mode yesterday. Ended up stranded about 150 miles from home and had to tow bike. Bike going to dealer tomorrow, but wondering if anybody has had this issue lately. I had this issue on my 2009 limited but not aware of recent issues. Bike is a 2022 Road Glide CVO Limited.
Anything can happen to anything. One pre 2014 models there was no cover on the big connector and the terminal, pins would corrode. Maybe open the connector and check out the condition of the pins..
Just found out it is the throttle body and part on back order until 7/23. Trying to locate one at another dealer now.
Glad it's under warranty.. throttle motor is it's a $350 part that is a permanent part of throttle body. Interesting back when they went that way, the throttle body was a lot cheaper then in previous years and still is.
Ronnie's shows it available but that doesn't really mean it is till you talk to them.
Your bike is so new, the fish hasn't even been out long.

I assume that means the throttle body position sensor is part of this too. What is the part number?

The throttle motor is your idle control and position sensor. It replaces the IAC and TPS. You do have a separate temperature sensor and injectors in intake. I could be wrong up in the other post. It appears the motor may be separate. The body is $346. I now think the motor is $262. Look at the fish.

They are replacing the throttle body assembly, part # 27300122. Dealer was able to locate one at another dealer. Looks like this part is same on all M8 touring bikes and hard to believe they are backordered for 3 months.

If they are backordered that long maybe it's in high demand, let's hope that isn't the case.
