Default Anyone try a 135" M8 yet? 21+ or earlier?

Hello,
As you may [or may not know] HD came out with the 135". They're saying its just for 2021+ touring only. I call BS - it's a M8 engine. I'm thinking an aftermarket tune you'd be A-OK.
Anyhow - dunno if anyone has a warranty compliant 135, or a non compliant one..?

Winter isn't even here yet...

I haven't seen one yet, but I am interested to see what the aftermarket comes up with for the higher displacement kits.

Curious to know why the 21+ are the only ones that can get the 135. I know the ECm changed, perhaps that is why?

I heard Fuel Moto has one they are playing around with. Their results should be interesting!

We installed the SE 135 in one of our shop bikes; 2022 Street Glide ST. We started developing Power Vision tunes last week with a few different exhausts, we will be opening the engine up and testing several different aftermarket cams, and we will then likely increase the compression and push it a bit further. H-D is not listing motor fitment for 17-20 models as they currently have 49 state certification for 21-later models.

Starting at $ 8000.00 and then this:

Fits ’21-later Touring models (except '23-later FLHXSE and FLTRXSE) equipped with air/Oil-Cooled Milwaukee-EightŽ engine. Does not fit Trike models. Requires separate purchase of Head Pipe P/N 65600177 and Oil Cooler Fan Assist P/N 62700204 or Fan for Factory Oil Cooler P/N 26800195. All models require ECM recalibration with Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner for proper installation. Does not fit California models.

That being the case I'm thinking that maybe the 135 kit is for the water-cooled models only?

Exact opposite; it's for air/oil cooled only models

Default Anybody seen a 135?

I did see a 135 in Texas 2 weeks ago. It was sitting in an engine stand on the parts counter and the guy said it was sold and waiting to be put in. I asked about the price, he said it was going to run about 10 grand + with labor.
After soiling my pants, I excused myself and moved smartly out.

So does the motor actual fit a 2017 to 2020 touring models mechanical wise but paper wise they say no .If that makes sense.
