If you have the space to let them lay around for a while (maybe a long while) why not. Put a listing up and let it ride. You can probably toss the stock cam, cuffs, cam bearings and lifters, I doubt anyone in their right mind would reinstall those. The covers, pushrods, injectors, who knows. You may come across someone who needs one as a replacement.
But you have to ask yourself, is the effort storing, packing and shipping worth the peanuts each part will likely bring?
You may have better luck at a swap meet if they have those by you. I have yet to see one in my lifetime...
usually I leave the parts at the indy because i can't be bothered carrying them back on the bike and then clutter my shed up, I do keep the oem exhaust's though
whats up everyone, just as the title states is it worth hanging on to a bunch of OEM engine components that have about 10k on them after a cam install? is something worth trying to sell? isnt something i should hang onto in case something breaks? Examples of components.
Thanks all i really appreciate the insight offered here!
keep and pass on to new owner if you ever sell the bike, or, list for free on FBook or similar. May be some young guy out there rebuilding a bike and doesn't have the cash for parts.
Did you replace the stock mufflers? I see guys wanting anywhere from 150-300 in the classifieds . I dont think a set ever sold.
No i didnt. it came with some sharkroad slip ons. Took those off and tried a couple pairs of corbras that i have for sale now because i ended up with khrome werks.
