Hey everyone
I have a 21 street with the 107 when I bought it new the dealer did stage 1 SE high flow air cleaner and rinehart slip ons
Ive been riding for 15+ years, little bit of everything bike nights/weekend in Milwaukee, weekend trips 2 up with the wife,
I now have right around 15k on it and Im thinking of some motor work
been talking to fuel moto and Im getting a quote from them to do the work
options are
1. woods cam, adjustable lifters, x pipe, tune and couple other things I will get more details in the next day or 2 when they email me the quote
2. Fuel moto 124 kit
what do you think, what are your experiences with either one
like any of us I want more power, better Harley sound, but dont want to hurt long time drivability

or you could sell or trade for a new or used 24 SG..that 117 would be a big upgrade over your 107 and if left alone should get you the reliability you desire and some warranty left. it'll have more rear suspension travel for your two up trips with your wife... apply the money from the 124 kit, these are going for real good prices now at this time of year, lots of leftover inventory to move with 25s around the corner..that's what I would do at this point
Probably should of mentioned my other upgrades
bars, cicada speakers and amp, and rear super shox
love the bike that’s why I’m thinking of the motor work kinda want to prevent myself from bike shopping lol

Ive had way too many bikes and have done way too many engine upgrades. The best value will be the FM stage 2, but the most fun will be the FM 124. Of all the bikes Ive done engine upgrades to, the FM 128 in my 20 RGL was the best running of them all.

right on, and with only 15,000 miles it should be great fun for many more years
Just recently upgraded my 21 SG 107 with a stage II also. Couldnt be happier. Sound and the difference in performance was exactly what I was looking for. Im fully in the camp on putting the money in your ride and not opting to go for a 24 or newer. It will cost you a lot more but that may not be an issue. Chasing cubes in motor size is a trap some people fall into and usually regret it at some point. If you love your current bike, Id just put the money into that. I personally dont care for the changes on the 24s so it was a no brainer for me. I also went with a Woods 22XE cam with woods lifters, new cam bearing, SE pushrods, S&S tappet cuffs, SE intake manifold and S&S cam chain tensioner. Had the FM jackpot header installed when I did a stage 1 the previous year. Good luck and keep us posted.

The FM 124 kit is a blast. I did it two years ago on my 2021 King and love it. It runs great, smooth and reliable.
How many miles on it? I've seen some reports the bottom end isn't holding up after xxxx miles, needing a Dark Horse rebuild. I shied away from it for that reason, and the money, went Stage III Kit instead - which had it's own parts and builder competency issues. Now that these are completed after much expense and angst, it is hella fun to ride the high compression 117 in a softail.

Not a lot, around 7000 since the job. I'm not worried about it. The 107 M8 bottom end isn't any less flimsy then the bikes they're throwing 131 kits on. I don't beat on it. That's when you start to get in trouble.

Define: "beat on it"? I'm asking only because, what's the point in doing a big power build if you're not gonna get on it? I have a lot more fun blasting off now days!
