it was like pulling teeth to get someone to ride with me these past 2 weekends. i just don't know enough people with bikes, and none with harleys. im busy saturday morning, but after that i need to get some miles on my bike to break it in before road tripping season begins. looking for a couple guys to tag along with on rides. maybe grab some lunch someplace in the foothills. stop at some biker barsand check out the bikes etc. i don't really drink when i ride (not much anyway),but i wouldn't mind doing a little bar hopping... i can keep myself occupied by checking out the rides and BS-ing... andi don't mind odouls [:'(]. just as long as that wasn't the only point of the ride. i try to get along with everyone but i don't want to hang out with someone who is heavily into politics or government orracial issues,or at least someone whowants to talk about that stuff all the time.im stillat break in speeds for the next couple hundred miles so i can't go ripping around until then. i cand ride any speed, for the most part, but.. you know, have to take it a little easy on the throttle. let me know ifanyone wants to meet up and go for a spin.
also, anyone who works in downtown denver... where do you park your bike during work? the garages around my office at 16th and Champa all have no cycle signs...or they are $20 bucks a day. any good praking decks or lots with MC parking? that is like 7 bucks or so a day?
I would be willing to go on some rides. I do the Odouls every other stop. I have some good rides going south or going north. Some that take two hours to complete, some that take 6 hours to complete. All of these rides keep us out of the mnts until the warmer weather. Above 9000 feet it can still get really cold. It will allow you to explore the eastern plains of colorado a little bit. I am not far from the I-70 and I-25 corridor. Let me know.....
i'd be down to ride, too. i'm a little nervous for rippin the canyon roads, just had the bike lowered, and can't take the turns to fast, as i will scrape bottom... and the sand just terrorizes me.
started ridin in 94 in high school, and just got my dad's bike last summer. so not an expert yet. ha.
and i know a few bikers to ride with and no Harley owners either.
I live up in Arvada currently. Usually just hop on the bike any given day and just take a random road. I usually ride up withmy buddy and hook up with agood sized group of people at the Cross Roads in Lafayette on the weekend when they go on rides...only thing is right now they really don't have a "set' schedule of when they ride. I am usually up for a ride whenever...just say the word.
cool, sounds like we might me getting something together here. of course, after the rain out this weekend, yard work is calling, but sunday im going to hit that 500 mile mark on the new bike if it kills me.
I'd be down for either/or Sat or Sun. just found out i'm gonna have to get a home inspection process going on Sat..so i'll try to make it first thing in the morning.
any of you guys having slight heat related vapor lock at the redlights lately? i did today.
gonna have to check the plugs...
98fxd - I was in your shoes...back in March sometimes haha. It's nice to be broken in, but we will make sure if we do meet up for a ride that we take it easy for those of you with brand new toys. I am about to hit 2500 on mine already...scary...thankfully Harley doesn't have a limited Mileage on their warranty [sm=biker2.gif]

I believe I sent you an email earlier this morning when I first got into the office, so just keep me in the loop as to what the game plane is.
I can't say that I have noticed any issues yet, but I can't definitely tell the heat is on for the season. Got on the bike just a bit ago for lunch and wowza that seat was hot!

How's the Crossroads bar? The wife and I just moved to Erie and that bar is right down the street. I also heard a bunch of Patriot riders hang there too.
