We are heading to Red Lodge on Jul 22-25. Soneone said there was a 30 min delay for construction on either Beartooth or Chief Joseph Highway. Can anyone confirm this???? TIA....

no delays that i encountered yesterday and today. there is gravel and construction between silver city(?) and Cooke City. East of that is all good, if a little bumpy

Just got back and there is a 20 -30 min delay and gravel/clay roads south of Cooke City. All ya can do is sit and wait but it was well worth the wait.

You might also do some quick research on the current fires in that area. We were in Yellowstone last week, and particularly on the north east side there are a lot of active fires. Leaving last Weds the east end of Yellowstone had very low visibility.
