I was just checking motorcycle laws for the states I'm hitting and see that Utah has this
"Handgrips below shoulder height - Maximum of 15" above seat"
The shoulder height doesn't bother me as my grips are just about there when I sit straight up, and I can even pull the bars down a bit. But it's the 15" above seat that has me worried.
Is the law very strict on riders with apes?
As a second question, the date of the ride will be early May. May 2nd and 3rd. What temps should I expect?
I've never heard of anyone ever getting hassled because of their ape's in Utah, I've lived here my entire life. I guess there could always be a first time, so take my input for what it's worth.
As far as temperatures go my guess would be highs in the 80's and lows in the 50's.
My buddy runs 20" apes he's been pulled over twice this year but no ticket. Let me say these are retarded tall though way above his sholders. Temps in the high 70s/low 80s. It does rain a fair amount at the end of april
I have a frind that lives in SLC has had 2 tiket in the last 2 years in the holiday area. I thank he sad the tickets were like $45,oo. But one of the cops that gave him a ticket waived at at him a month or so later. He still has the aps on. funny..
