Default Northeast trip

Hey all, I was looking for some insight from those that explore the northeast part of this great country. I've never been and hoping to get out later this year. I'm looking at putting together a trip this September or late September/early October (pending this Covid thing). I'll be coming from the Midwest and planning to start at Niagara Fall, then East. Looks like the finger lakes area first, then up to the Adirondacks, over through Vermont to New Hampshire (Mt Washington), and hopefully to Acadia National Park in Maine.
I've got 12 to 14 days for this ride and want to try to make the most of it. Planning to ride 2-3 days in each area. Any help with roads or sights not to miss would be appreciated??

Thanks for any ideas!
Dan

That’s hard as there are so many great roads in VT and NH. What route through VT are you planning? I assume if you’re coming from the adirondacks that you’ll come in somewhere up near Lake Champlain?

Portland Maine has a lot to see. A lot of breweries if you're into that. A lot of great roads up north in the Adirondacks. Route 9 coming up the east side of Lake George has some beautiful scenery and fun roads

Not sure where in Wisconson you will start, but its roughly 1500 miles one way. You looking to go thru Canada to Niagara Falls?--If so stay on the Canadian side[ my preference] from there head east to Finger lakes area then Adirondacks[ I prefer Lake George area over Lake Placid] ride rt28 and 28a and 3 if staying in area---head north rt9 towards Plattsburg and cross to Vt using Ferry[or use Champlain bridge] in Vt as Dawg eludes to--many great roads to ride--I would take 17 east if connecting from ferry to 100 to 2 east through Nh . This will bring you to Gorham [Mt Washington Auto Rd] just south of the town--then rt2 through Maine to Bangor then onto Bar Harbor
Return trip you could go south in Maine to Arundel and check out Bentleys biker Bar[rt1] then take rt111 to 202 to rt 11 in NH to Lake Winnipasakee [Laconia/Weirs Beach] then 104 to rt4 through Vt to NY towards Lake George area and take 9 s to 209 through Delaware Gap then West from there

1957,
It's just the wife and I on one bike. Hotel/motel/B&B for lodging. I do have a small toy hauler that we've used in Arkansas and South Dakota, but both those trips were pretty easy to have a central location to ride out of. This trip is probably covering to much ground for that to be practical. We did a west coast trip a couple years back, (6200 miles/16 days) so covering some miles isn't a problem for us.

Kitzhof Inn and Grey Ghost Inn are two motorcycle friendly inns that offer motorcycle tours in southern VT if you happen to be down that far. Dover, Mt. Snow area

May want to check ahead for Vermont travel. They were under a 14 day mandatory quarantine and just reduced it to 7 days. Check points were at the border crossings. Might be done with it by the time your planning to be there.
I am from there originally. It’s a beautiful state to ride in.
Safe travels.

Just an FYI, the Canadian/US border is currently closed to non-essential traffic.

Hopefully it may be open when you start your trip
