Delmarva Bike week. I ended up working on Saturday, because I took an early exit on Friday to do a Patriot Guard Mission, which was more important to me.
Good or Bad? Better than last year? I have yet to get down there. Maybe next year.
A buddy and I rode (a chilly ride) out early Saturday morning from Southern MD, stopping in Seafords on the way. We rode in and out of a few places and found a room at the SeaBonay for $100 for Sat night! For us it was more about the ride out then it was getting around. The good weather brought a ton of bikes. Some people we talked to said it took them 1.5 hours waiting in traffic to get to the Racetrack! We opted to not go there and stopped at the OC HD dealer instead. We seen at least 4 seperate accidents Saturday, so we opted to just sit out in front of our room Sat night and watch the bikes go by. Hopefully none of our members were any of the accident victims.
The ride back was nice (and chilly) and we stopped off at RedEyes Dockbar for a beverage and another place off the beaten path in Deale, MD.
We had a great time. I love going to OC downs on Friday and seeing all the freaks. Saturdays crowd is alot different....Did anyone catch the Led Zep tribute band? I thought they sounded great as did everyone I talked too.
If they are there next year ya gotta check em out.
It was a good time. Traffic was pretty funky coming home Sunday up to 404 and a bit past it... we left OC at 11:00. Would have stopped at RedEye on the way home, but one of the guys riding with us blew a starter, so he wanted to get home. I had a good time, and there was no drama! Saw a little bit of everything, and had fun. Weather was great Saturday. Not sure if I would go back or not, probably the crowd that I rolled up there with.. If I go back, I go solo. More flexibility.
