Lake George..... Anybody?
so, me and my girlie will be heading to Lake George for their Americade / Bike Week Thang.
We'll be there from the 4th of June till the following sunday.
This post has been made b4, but will anyone from the forum be going up this year??
I had a blast last year, great roads, ton of bikes.... Harley does demo rides, along with a host of other companies.
Met some really good family up there too.
It's really a good time, don't knock it till you try it.

Im hoping to go to old forge the weekend before... Still deciding. Americade is about an hour closer so its more likely... but the crowd is huge... We'll see. Too bad one of you is coming from the west and the other from the south, I'll be going straight down route 9 heading south. Would be nice to have someone to ride down with, my dad doesn't like rallies and wont go down.

Ive gone the last 5 years and love it up there..Im leaving from NYC on Tues June 3rd and im riding alone so if anyone is headed up that day and wants some company im open to all suggestions

The long pole in the tent is how I am healing up. I just had my knee raped by the ortho docs. I come off of crutches next week- after 6 LONG,LONG weeks. My left leg is now what one would expect to have if they were a POW for several years. Atrophy wasted no time ravaging my leg. If I can hobble around, relatively pain free, I will make the trip. It will be a nice change since I have surfed the entire internet laying around with my leg in some sadistic machine getting my range of motion back.

A couple of things....
1st :
ARTY : Heal up soon man, my right knee is for ****, and I can relate to how crappy your situation is. Broke my right leg TWICE in the same year, in different spots, I got more metal and screws in there than the terminator. And, thank you for your service too man, you guys don't get half of the treatment that you deserve, and just so you know, I want to say thanks, and I truly appreciate what our military does. Endless gratitude man, Be Well.

Aswethinkweis : I'm pretty sure I know where the name comes from, and I really dig the DURACEL SPORTY!!! It really looks cool man. I got a WG,and I'm not really a fan of the 105th wide glide, but for some reason i like the look on the sportys, you should post some updated pics though, i wanna see the upgrades with the turnouts and such. Also, aswethinkweis, if you are Hilikus, than DEFINITELY find me at Americade, we'll have some good music to rap about, I'm sure.

I probably got the only WG on Earth with a front spoiler (gift from Girlie, but I've started to really like it)
And I got a full face lid, loaded with SRH spaded stickers and.... well..... it's plastered with stickers. Damn New York helmet laws, I hate that ****, there aren't any brain bucket laws in CT, I guess I'm spoiled.
I'll actually be riding in from the East, from VT. This is the Lake George thread...... beer's are waitin.

Oh yeah,
And if you've never been, there's a ton of traffic on the weekends, the events really gotten huge,
WARNING TO THOSE WITH AIR COOLED SCOOTS!!!
Once you get clear of canada street (the main drag) the traffic thins out, that's where I'm usually chillin, right on Canada St.
If your sittin in traffic for a real long time, I just kill the motor. Those twin cams sittin still = NO GOOD.
But I totally seen these chicks doing backbends over the railings at some bar with there tops off!
