Lots of people love the bikers in MB its the few (like in most things in life) that screw it up for eveyone else.Outside the city limits is where all the fun is especially the Merrills Inlets area.
I'm going again this year had fun last year too.If you don't go they win. The portion that is restrictive is tiny compared to all the rest.

I don't know. This is a tough one. I went for the first time in '08. Hubby had been once before in '03 I believe. I had a great time and was glad to have made it there before the doo-doo hit the fan in '09. I prescribe to the concept of why go where I'm not wanted, but then again, we had stayed in North Myrtle Beach anyway and never really went to much in Myrtle Beach (we aren't big time partiers so weren't into the club scene). Would love to try again, but really don't want the hassle, and don't want to contribute to an area that has made it clear we aren't welcome, and to think of the city of MB getting one penny of my money .... I am really taking a hard look at other east coast events and gathering input from folks here on the forum as well as other places to see what other possibilites are around that we might enjoy just as much, or even more.

I'll be there from Sunday to Sunday as usual and staying in the city limits. I'll bet I get a great rate on my room this spring. I know I did last fall.

Leesville, Fla has a rally in April. I have some friends going to that one instead.

We're holding out and going to Panama City Beach this year; don't really care to spend my vacation & $ where I'm not wanted.
