Also, this year the Gettysburg Bike Week 2010 will have its first Friends of Bill W. Meeting, at 11:30 a.m. at the burn-out pit. This is an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous, and all are welcome.
Been there every year since I moved out here, one of my favorite events. I would really like to enter my bike in the ride in show this year, usually very few Dynas in the show.
I will be attending again this year on my 08 1200 Roadster this will be my 3rd year attending this great event it seems to get bigger and better every year also my brother will be attending gettysburg bike week with me for the first time on his new 2010 wide glide custom . I plan on attending all 4 days of bike week . I also plan on riding in the parade of chrome saturday evening if the weather cooperates this year . I am hoping for a rain free event this year but with the weather we are having now I expect it to be very hot and I am not talking about some of the women riders who attend the event . I hope other riders attending from out of town pack some sunscreen .
pretty sure I will be there on saturday. Toying with the idea of entering my gold bobber in the ride in show. Back in black band saturday night is good, heard them a couple years ago in Daytona. might try to find a hotel room and make a weekend out of it if the mrs. wants to ride up with me.

Good luck getting a room. That town books up way in advance. Try http://www.qualityinn.com/hotel-gettysburg-pennsylvania-PA023?sid=QeKcM.QJLktgY$L.12.
We book 12 rooms the days we check out. A lot of people book the rooms for the next year when they check out. I know we have 4 couples that backed out but the rooms are still kept under our block.
Hanover is a nice little ride and a nice place to stay. We stay at the Hampton Inn there, they had rooms a couple weeks ago when I made my reservation.
York is another place to look for a hotel room if gettysburg is all booked up ,it too is a nice short ride from gettysburg lots of good restaurants nearby not to mention the harley plant for those looking for something to do outside of gettysburg .
Anybody else from the DC area riding up Saturday morning? We usually get an early start and stop in Frederick for breakfast if anyone is interested in riding together.

Awsome hotel. Clean.
thanks for the info. Checked Quality Inn but they had a 2 night minimum that weekend. Found a room at the Hilton, booked it but it's more than I wanted to spend. My buddies and I usually look for a Motel 1 when we travel, but my wife likes something a little better than that .
Hell if it weren't for her riding her own bike up I'd just ride home after the concert, it's only an hour or so... but my wife hates riding at that time of night cause of all the deer and such. If I don't put the bobber in the bike show I can just take the roadglide and she can ride with me and we can still head home afterwards. But if she goes, we can wander back home thru Littlestown and such, she likes to stop at those antique-y and craft stores there... so it'll cost me but maybe I can score some brownie points and I guess she's worth it.
