I was at the Sac Harley Dealer today asking about Amsoil, They do not recommend Amsoil because they have had 3 bikes come in broke, they say there is not enough zinc in the oil. Mmmmmm **** and i was going to use it this next time, Was hoping to cool the bike. Have redline in it now and still friggin hot. 07 RG

Red Line is the way to go... Amsoil = snake oil. When you say your bike is running hot, please explain further (what temps?). It may not be too hot, just your perception that it's warmer than sitting on a park bench.
Opinions are like @$$holes...everyone's got one....Never had a problem with Amsoil...listen to a dealer cause they will never lie to you (yeah write)...this topic has been beaten to death...use what you want.
Amsoil is a top quality oil you can not take that away from them.
I may have issue with how they do their scam marketing on the net But the product is top of the line.
If it is what you want to use go for it you can't go wrong with the product.
Run Amsoil in both my XL and FX. Change every 5K and send samples to Blackstone Labs for analysis at 2.5K and at change. Nothing but good reports on wear metals present AND the remaining addative package. Zinc being one of the addatives. They have even stated that I could run well over 5K if I were to so choose based on the test results of the samples I submitted.
For a while couple oil companies were getting some sorry chuck from a few bad dinosaurs. They all seem to be getting the prime rib lately and are all pretty good. If you drive it hard use the recommended. Average driving it will be fine on any correct name brand grade. Just my opinion of 47 year of driving.

I'm running Amsoil this time around. There are a bunch of different versions of Amsoil. I'm running Amsoil motorcycle oil. Most folks don't even know that Amsoil makes an oil that is specifically formulated for motorcycles. And yes, it is a couple bucks more than their standard synthetic oil (which is already brutally expensive). But, where I am, Mobil 1 V-Twin is now $10/quart so the price difference is minimal.
I was running a non-synthetic break-in oil before changing over. I can honestly say that the engine (with newly installed gear drive cams) is running a lot quieter since I changed the oil. However, I expected it to be quieter going from a 15W40 non-synthetic break-in oil to a 20W50 synthetic (of any brand). Personally, I think you're just fine running the Redline. It's a great oil.
The service manager at the place I get all my oil changes done runs Amsoil in all his personal vehicles and claims that his oil temperatures run lower. But, don't expect changing oils to significantly reduce your oil temperatures. Most of the new bikes tend to run hotter. That's why you see a lot of folks adding heat shields. If your RG is running hotter than you like, changing oils isn't going to make a noticeable difference. The most effective solution is to add an oil cooler.
