Default oil circulation

on a 2014 road king, is the oil agitated while engine is running such that with the dipstick removed you would have oil erupting out of the opening? i ask cuz after starting the bike in a cold start, i removed the dipstick and looked down into the oil pan....everything seemed calm down there, i expected different. and the reason i did all that is i am wondering if my oil is indeed circulating, not sure whether i belive the oil pressure lamp is failsafe, AND, i seem to be experiencing more heat from the bike

Put the dipstick back in and ride the thing. There is nothing wrong.

I agree. Warm the bike up turn it off check you oil. If it's within specs ride. Heat can come from putting around. Harley's are meant to run hot. They are air cooled. If your oil light comes on pull over immediately and shut bike off. It comes on when there is no pressure. Twin Cams ru at 37 psi or something like that evo's run maybe at 10psi. If your worried about heat Harley makes dip sticks with Thermometer. Then you can see what you running at for different conditions. If you want less heat don't leave house. Just Jokeing it's better to ask and feel like a fool than not ask ruin your bike and prove you are a fool. You should invest in HD Service, Parts and Electrical manuals. Each are about 40 a piece. Ride Offensive and Have Fun.

And yes most of the oil is be circulated. Always warm bike up, shut it down pull dip stick wipe it, push it down and screw it on then pull it back out and check. Good oil maintenance is 1 major key to bike longevity. Most guys get nervous when it comes to their 20,000$ bike.
