winter storage
I have always changed the engine oil and other fluids on both our bikes before putting them away for the winter . The other riders we travel with all say this is a mistake and they change their fluids when they bring them out of storage in the spring . Which is the right way ? Our bikes are stored from the end of OCT. to the first of MAY .

I always put the bikes away for the winter on fresh fluids; why leave old acid contaminated engine oil sitting in it for months to do its work? I fog the cylinders before the bikes go up on lifts; before the first ride in spring I bleed and flush the brake fluid since it's had all winter to absorb moisture...

I've been riding for almost 50 years and have never done any such prep for winter storage. I often have several bikes, some of which do a low mileage each season and I continue to service them at the specified intervals. I've read a lot about what I should do, but.......
