Default Trans fluid change temp

so in the owners manuals under Maintenance Changing Fluids Step 1 for Engine and Primary is to bring to normal operating temperature. Step 1 for Trans is to remove dipstick, and checking trans fluid level states to check at Ambient temp. So it seems painfully obvious the MoCo wants us to change trans fluid cold. I doubt this is how most are being done. Just wondering if anyone has a good explanation as to why, must be a reason? just curious..thanks

I never change cold fluids.

Warm them up so the fluids flow.
Get all the floating particles out.

yup, guessing that most including dealerships do that..just found it curious as to why they purposefully omitted that step for transmission fluid only..obviously it wasn't an accidental omission as every Harley I have owned was documented that way and they would have changed the mistake by now..oh well, either way will work, thanks

Cool

In any vehicle changing oils when they are hot is quicker, although I routinely pull the drain plug and leave a cold engine to drain overnight. With the trans being a heavier oil it seems to make sense to change that while hot, but again I tend to leave mine for a while, as for the engine. If time is on your side, it will all come out in due course!

No shop is going to warm an engine up just to change oil/trans fluid etc...

In the real world it makes no difference in the life of the component.
