Mine broke on my 17 WG and luckily it was still under warrenty because the wire was broken off right where it goes into the sensor. So the only way to fix it was to replace the sensor...and the whole wire harness. Although mine was covered, the harness itself is $600.
If you can't splice the wires together, you'll need to replace the sensor and harness. I can see if I can pull up the stock numbers when I get home.

seems simple enough for repair. the sw is a NC unit that conducts to engine ground, when you start, oil pressure opens it up. if it still functions with wire off, def a problem in wiring.
or perhaps there is another sensor with the ecu, would have to get schematic. in the auto world, that switch acts as an egcy fuel pump circuit in case the relay fails, hd, i do not know.
