Default Oil Sensor wire question

Hello

I have an '06 Road King. The oil sensor light is on, and I think it's because of this wire that broke off. I can't tell for sure but I think the oil sensor that attaches to the block has a wire that comes down to where my picture is.

Does anyone know what this part is called that the arrow is pointing to? It appears the wire has broken off of this part. There appears to be 2 wires and I'm not sure if both wires are supposed to attach to this part? Please have a look and advice. Thanks!

That appears to be your rear brake light switch.

Your oil filter sensor is on the front of the block near the oil filter adapter

Cool thanks I know where the sensor is. I thought maybe the wire wasn't connected because the red oil light is on the dash, even though the bike has plenty of oil.

I was planning on getting an oil pressure gauge tomorrow to see if the bike is getting proper pressure.

Any other simple troubleshooting you guys would recommend before I start going in and checking the cam chain, etc? I just did a complete engine rebuild so not looking forward to any more serious labor.

Was the light on right after the complete engine rebuild? Did the complete engine rebuild include cam chest work such as cam tensioners or oil pump?

I added Screaming Eagle cams along with a high performance oil pump. I reused the cam plate and tensioners because they appeared to be in good shape. Yes the light seemed to come on right away. The bike also has a new crank and 95” heads over the stock 88”.

Did you properly align the oil pump?

Watching a Youtube video now. It is possible I didn't properly align the oil pump. Thanks for the tip!

It’s probably that or a pinched o-ring blocking one of the ports in the chest behind the cam plate.
