Good morning yall. On my way to work today my bike (2017 dyna street bob) stalled out today. I got maybe a block away when the bike started jerking/sputtering on second gear so I pulled the clutch and layed off the gas. The bike seemed to come back to life. went another block and started jerking again but the oil light came on and stalled. The throttle was lagging when trying to rev it. Circled back home and the same thing would happened about 4 or 5 time. The last time it stalled all electrical was lost, had to turn off the cutoff switch and the ignition switch on the tank to get power back. Don't know if that was related to how many times I started her back up, so maybe the battery could've been low? Oil was changed about 300 miles ago and hasn't given me any problems until now. Garage floor is completely oil free, so no oil leaks. Was on my way to work so I didn't have much time to troubleshoot so I figured Id try my luck here. Anyone have any ideas what it could be or what kind of troubleshooting I can do when I get home? All and any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Doubt that low oil will cause that. Just because it was changed 300 miles ago doesn't mean it's still at the correct level.
Start with the simple stuff- get the battery tested, check the battery cables at BOTH ends, check for codes.
It could be the speed sensor or the CPS, but do the basics first. You might get more responses posting in the Dyna section.
