Oil Filter length

Does anyone know of a quality oil filter that is just slightly shorter than the HD unit? I have the premium oil cooler on an 02 Ultra and there is just no clearance to get any type of wrench on the filter for removal. I tried the K&N but it is slightly longer and doesn't clear the crank sensor. Thanks for the help. -- Tom

Mobil 1 black M-102 or something like that

Try using a strap wrench on the filter. You can get one on ebay for $8-$10. It slips around the side and works every time.

Gotta luv them oil coolers... at work I ground the lip off the end of the filter to get the added clearance to git the wrench in. Some times it helps to remove the crank sensor it's only 1 allen screw.
