is the liquid vac worth getting and what about the crap in the bottom of the engine can it suck that out

Pass on it.....let gravity do its job. Warmup and let it drain....has worked for years waaaaay before any suction device came along.

I have a fluid extractor I use on my cars. Works great. But if you have a drain plug why bother? But if the oil is hot it will extract easier and most of the contaminants are suspended in it. A fluid extractor would be good for someone who has a stripped drain plug or for an over fill situation. Very easy to use too.
