Default extra drain plug

Just finished changing the Transmission fluid in my 11 heritage, what is the small little drainplug underneath the bike that is close to your floorboard on the right hand side. It is not the primrary drainplug,or the engine oil drainplug. Thanks

That is the engine case drain plug. But DO NOT pull it for draining purposes!! Not only is it not necessary to use it for changing the oil, it is VERY easy to strip that hole. If you do a quick search there are a few members that have been UN-lucky enough to have to deal with this problem. Just pretend that it doesn't even exist and you'll lead a happy life! Hahahaha

you probably only got 8-10 ounces of oil out of that hole..just hope it doesn't leak now. You're not the first and you won't be the last....R T F M!!!

Be careful tightening that sump plug, it is a taper thread and too tight will crack the cases
